Residency Program HistoryThe College is proud to reflect on the time spent supporting and establishing standards for residency training for anesthesiology in conjunction with the American Osteopathic Association. In early 2014, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), and the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) approved an agreement to transition to a single accreditation system for graduate medical education (GME) by July 2020. The transition officially concluded on June 30, 2020. Below are the residency anesthesiology programs with roots and history in osteopathic anesthesiology that have achieved ACGME accreditation.
